The Committee on Government Organization moves to amend the bill on page 1, line 18, by striking out everything after the enacting section and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"ARTICLE 3. FIRE PREVENTION AND CONTROL ACT.

§29-3-5c. Liquified petroleum gas systems.
(a) The State Fire Marshal shall, on or before July 1, 2009, propose rules for legislative approval in accordance with the provisions of article three, chapter twenty-nine-a of this code to provide:
(1) Standard safe practices for the design, construction, location, installation, maintenance and operation of liquefied petroleum gas systems, which are equivalent to national industry standards; and
(2) Training standards and qualifications for persons who install or maintain liquefied petroleum gas systems.
(b) The State Fire Marshall may establish work groups and seek input in the rulemaking process from groups or individuals with an interest in any aspect of the operation or use of liquefied petroleum gas systems."
